Board of Directors
We are proud to announce the appointment of several new Directors who will help make 2025 an incredible year for 4 Voices and the women we support affected by domestic violence, homelessness, and loneliness. Together, they bring a wealth of diverse expertise to guide our organisation forward.
The 4 Voices Board of Directors consists of 5 non-executive directors and 1 executive director. The Board’s role is to provide governance, strategic direction and performance oversight of 4 Voices.
Jo Westh
Founder CEO
Jo founded 4 Voices in 2020 after working with disadvantaged people in both Australia and Cambodia. Jo has worked with thousands of women silenced by toxic relationships and/or work/family environments. 4 Voices provides a unique service in the community, providing women in crisis immediate connection with no appointments, no deadlines and no judgment.
Jo is a compassionate leader with significant experience as a CEO, building successful and sustainable businesses, both in the profit and not-for-profit sectors. As the former CEO and Executive Director of Orange Sky Australia, Jo’s earlier background was as a Senior Partner for an International Consulting firm, looking after teams of consultants across Asia Pacific. She is driven by the need to help women impacted by domestic violence, homelessness and loneliness, helping them to “find their voice”.
Shivani Gopal
Director
Shivani is the founder and CEO of Elladex, an Australian official Startup 20 and Women’s 20 delegate as part of the G20, an official UN Women Australia delegate to the Commission on the Status of Women and podcast host.
Shivani Gopal is an expert in unlocking inclusion and participation in finance and leadership for women. As the founder and CEO of Elladex, Australia’s first digital mentor marketplace & daily learning platform – Shivani has raised over 7 figures in venture capital and worked with celebrity ambassadors to build a global ‘rolodex’ with over 25,000 women, designed to elevate personal, professional and financial success.
Shivani has won the 2024 Asian Australian Leadership Awards for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the 2024 IABCA Business Woman of the Year, along with NSW Excellence in Women’s Leadership Award in 2022. She holds an MBA and a Masters in Commerce, majoring in Financial Planning.
Jennifer Killian
Director
Jennifer Killian is a strategic marketing and growth consultant with more than 20 years of leadership in business-to-business SaaS technology companies ranging from Silicon Valley-based start-ups to Fortune 500 companies in the US, and ASX-listed WiseTech Global. Jennifer holds a Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management UNSW and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jennifer also has an established background in the non-profit sector, including corporate experience with Rotary International, and previous volunteer roles with the Rotaract Club of Chicago, the Junior League of San Francisco, the UNSW School of Business Alumni Advisory Board and Dress for Success in Sydney.
Amy Mouafi
Director
With over 25 years' experience, Amy began her career as a journalist, before obtaining further qualifications as a social scientist and criminologist, specialising in the field of violent crime. Amy designed and implemented a domestic and sexual assault case management service for women seeking to leave and break the cycle of domestic and family violence, leading to a 96% success rate over 7 years, with survivors not returning or re-entering another abusive relationship. She implemented domestic violence evidence kits to the NSW Police Force as well as changes to how investigations and prosecutions of domestic violence cases in Aboriginal communities were handled.
Amy has extensive knowledge and experience in promoting public awareness, community and adult education, and application of behavioural insights in fields of emergency management, disaster, violence and trauma. She is a recognised speaker on strategy, innovative programs, leadership and diversity, with a history of engagements at conferences nationally and internationally.
Fleur Madden
Director
Fleur Madden is a career entrepreneur with 22 years in business running 4 of her own companies. She is an award-winning businesswoman, experienced CEO/Founder/Board Director, recognised industry expert and keynote speaker. She is the CEO and Founder of The Ginsburg Firm, a consulting group that coaches Female Founders to scale or sell their business. She is passionate about the advancement of women, diversity, inclusion, closing the gender pay gap and women being paid what they are worth.
Fleur supports several charities that help women and their children, including 4 Voices, the Women’s Legal Service and The Children’s Hospital Foundation. Fleur is also on the Legacy Board for the Children’s Hospital Foundation, and was formerly on the board and Asia Pacific Chairman for PROI, the world’s leading professional organisation for PR agencies.
Helen Winter
Company Secretary
Helen is an experienced solicitor, manager, facilitator and trainer with a focus on risk management and professional development. Helen has developed and presented professional development content for the Institute of Architects, the Queensland Law Society and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. With a passion for making a difference and providing practical support, Helen has supported numerous charities that focus on mentoring to encourage professional and personal growth.
Helen is involved in facilitating wellbeing programs for the long-term unemployed, disengaged youth and survivors of domestic violence. Helen is also an advisor and mentor to a Brisbane-based professional development program for young multicultural leaders. Helen was recently accredited as Mental Health First Aid facilitator and is always keen to increase the community’s mental health literacy. Helen joined the 4 Voices board in 2020 as Director and Company Secretary and has been a critical influence in the charity’s growth.
